Spaces on the van

June 17th, 2009 by Amy

There are still some spaces in the van that will be traveling from Powell River and Herondell at noon on Saturday. The return trips are scheduled for 10, 11, and 12 that night (although we could change that to go earlier if you like).

The van starts at the liquor store side of the mall parking lot, although it is doing one pick-up at Second Flux and another at the Beach Gardens hotel. We can plan for other pickups if you are along the way, or possibly even if you are out in wildwood…for anyone who might not have a car…

I would like to encourage folks to take the van if you can, or carpool! There is space for about 15-20 cars only at Herondell, so let us know!

Thanks! Hugs,
Amy & Ted

Potluck update!

June 17th, 2009 by Amy

Hey everyone! I can’t believe there are three more days to go. We are so excited to see everyone. There are few more potluck items coming in – prawns, pork shishkabobs, scalloped potatoes, veggie trays, chili, and hummus and pita bread. Mmmmmm…yummy!

If you don’t know what you are bringing yet, we could probably use a rice dish of some sort, or buns and butter.

Yippee!

Less than one month!

May 23rd, 2009 by Amy

Oh my!

Hey, we would love it if everyone could fill in the RSVP form on the wedding website – tedandamy.ca. Otherwise, we won’t plan for enough food, and that would be a disaster!

Thank you thank you!

Shuttle bus to & from Herondell

April 24th, 2009 by Amy

We have booked Heather Tours to run a shuttle bus for us on Saturday, as there is only a little parking at Herondell and the more we environmentally friendly we can be, the better!  Here is the scoop:

The van will leave the Powell River mall (by the liquor store) at 12:00 pm (noon), and arrive at Herondell at about 12:30.  The ceremony will start at 1:00.

The van will be available for return trips in the evening, at: 10:00pm, 11:00pm, and 12:00pm.

If you need to return at a different time, or arrive at a different time, please let us know and we will see what we can do.

Potluck menu – so far

April 24th, 2009 by Amy

Hi all!  So far, the potluck menu is as follows:

Roasted pig, a variety of other BBQ’ed meat, bean salad (or other wheat & dairy free salad), and kick-ass potato salad.  And wedding cake.  ♥

Don’t worry!  More will be coming soon!  :)   Just let us know what you would like to bring (via the rsvp form on our website) and we will post it up here.

Also – we are making sure that the food on Friday night is wheat and dairy free.  As much as possible.

Friday night venue change!

April 1st, 2009 by Amy

Hi everyone!  The Friday night welcome party is going to take place at my parents’ house: 6869 Fairmont Street.  NOT AT OUR HOUSE ANYMORE!  We will have a sign with directions up at our house, in case anyone gets confused.

Terracentric Tours

January 13th, 2009 by Amy

This is the place where we will post details about the tours on Sunday, hosted by Terracentric Coastal Adventures Ltd.  We will let you know which tours get booked up (most have a 6 or 8 person limit), gear lists, and where to go for your tour.  We might even post information on the guides, as Amy has some inside information.  (For those of you who don’t know, Amy is a happy employee of Terracentric, hence the most excellent discounts on tour prices!)  Feel free to ask questions about the Sunday tours here!

You can also check out www.terracentricadventures.com for their details.

This could be you!

Potluck Yummies

January 13th, 2009 by Amy

Please let us know what you are going to be bringing to the potluck via the RSVP form on our website.  We’ll keep everyone up to date with the menu here.   We’ll also keep people updated in terms of number of guests etc.

Some of our guests cannot eat wheat and/or dairy, so if you have a special dish that is wheat/dairy free, please feel free to bring it!  Don’t worry – not all the dishes have to be wheat/dairy free.

Out of town people don’t need to bring anything unless it fits in with their travel plans.

Oh, and I believe that we are starting this category off with an offer of a pig roast…

Give us your questions, and we’ll give you some answers

Well, this one is pretty obvious, isn’t it?
